Roderick Anthony Hairdressing

Room for improvement
3.6

I have been going to Roderick Anthony's for nearly a year now because of the convenience of being close to my work. I have only given 3 stars because I feel there is room for improvement within the service....The meet and greet is ok just feels little falseness to me with no personality. Faye who does my hair is lovely and she listens to what you want, which is 10 out 10 for me. However the juniors need training in washing hair and blow drying. They’re very rough washing hair and those rubber gloves they wear feels like they are pulling me hair out!! When they add conditioner to your hair, they either stay in just one place constantly adding pressure and rubbing or they do all the pressure points on your head very quickly. Awful and stressful!! When they sit you down and start combing your hair, again they do it so roughly that clumps of hair are in the comb!! Have their training not taught them that wet hair is at its most delicate stage?? When blow drying the hair I have had my head burnt to the point I have stopped and said its dry enough. I know I am mainly directing this at the trainee’s, however this can be taken as positive criticism because it is showing that their trainer/mentor are failing them on the basics of hair dressing, hence why there is room for improvement. The whole salon really needs to relax and make it an inviting place to come.
