I’d like to start by saying I’m a regular at the salon and have been coming for years. I’m not normally one to complain as I appreciate that things go awry from time to time and that these are unusual times however, I find myself feeling disappointed about my recent visit to the salon. Whilst professionalism and huffing was high throughout I feel I was misinformed. I called to book my hair appointment and was quoted £120 (twice on 2 separate occasions) both post Covid. Only to be told on the day it was £169. Now that’s a big jump in price from £120. When I queried it I was told it was from £120. Well this hasn’t been made clear to me at either of my phone calls. Secondly whilst I appreciate that with the new safety measures in place things may take a little longer, I was told I’d be done by 7pm both on the phone and in the chair. 8:15 I walked out of the salon hungry and with a much lighter bank balance. I have never left disappointed before but I feel I have been lied to and my kind nature taken advantage of. To top it all off one side of my hair is much lighter than the other in natural light. As a long standing loyal customer I feel that the trust is now gone for me and I will likely be moving elsewhere which after many years is a shame but had I have known it was going to be £169 I’d have reconsidered and I’d have also eaten before if I’d have been told it was going to be 3 hours not 2. Honestly and integrity are everything when it comes to customer retention my advise to you would be don’t over promise and under deliver. It leaves people feeling taken advantage of and in a situation where they can’t then refuse to pay as they’ve already had the service.
