I visited the salon day before Mother's Day!wow what can I say Emily did a totally new hair style on me and WOW what a brilliant job she did...thank you lovely lady! Im making appointment for start of august.also the cut has been that fantastically done it's only now it needs doing again!
I made my first and last visit to Hair Cafe last week. When I booked, I had specified that I wanted a balayage done but when I arrived the stylist told me she wouldn't have time so suggested I had highlights instead. As I wanted something done I agreed and told her I wanted to go darker - it took her 2 hours to apply the colour. Then when I went to have it rinsed off it was apparent there was no one available to cut my hair when I had been booked in for a cut. I asked one of the stylists when my hair would be cut and she was extremely snotty - at this point I had been there over 3 hours and had been sitting with wet hair for over half an hour. I was just about to walk out with wet hair when a very nice but stressed stylist came to cut my hair. As I needed to leave she didn't have time to blow dry it properly and once my hair was dry there was no change in colour whatsoever even though I had clearly stated I wanted to go darker. After a dire mishap, with two attempts going badly wrong, with a hairdresser in Dublin, I telephoned Hair Cafe to see if they could put it right. Not only did they fit me in at a suitable time (just off the train in Chester) but, finally, in Leanne, I found someone who actually listened to how I like my fringe to be coloured! A colour correction that, in certain salons not-to-be-named might have set me back £100+, Leanne charged a mere £25 despite having to work really hard to strip the mistake! Thank you so much and, now that I know you will listen, I will be back!!!
i had been recommended this salon due to my usual salon closing down, at first it was nice atmopshere and everyone was very friendly, however i came out with the exact same look i had before i had got anything done which was not what i was asking for... i complained and called up the next day saying i didnt see any difference for the amount i paid, so they said they would happily get it to how i want it for no charge which i was very happy with of course. when i went the second time for correction, i had a different lady who did it alot more extreme so it did actually look different this time... not to mention coming out with it still damp and heavy with unrinsed conditioner still in my hair i was then charged at the desk an extra £50!...
a couple of weeks later and my hair colour has basically all washed out.
Visited hair cafe a week ago. Very welcoming on front desk. Had booked in advance. The stylist very friendly but like so many other salon stylists already had ideas of how my hair was to be cut and styled despite what I asked for. Sadly I wont be returning even though I received a 20% discount and a loyalty card.
