Not the colour I wanted

I asked for ash blonde/grey balayage. My hair is brown and I know it can be difficult to take to light colours. I wasn't told at all before I had my hair done by the receptionist or my hairdresser that there is a possibility it will go yellow/copper blonde. I was only told it might not go as light as I wanted, which I was fine with as long as it was the ashy grey I wanted. I even had a bit of my hair taken to test the dye beforehand and didn't get a call back saying it didn't work. I was told there is no problem if I don't get a call back. So it is now a yellowy balayage which looks embarrassing and I've been told it needs going over another 1-2 times to achieve the ash colour I want, which I can't afford for £108 a go. I also feel massively ripped off as I payed a £25 deposit and was told it would be £100. It ran over an hour and a half and I'm assuming that's why I've been charged more. I also thought the deposit would be taken off the full price so was expecting to pay £75 on the day not £108. So I've paid £133 for a colour that I'm really not happy with and have to pay more money now to get it sorted. If I had been more informed on the possible outcomes before the dye was on my head I wouldn't be as upset.
