Marnie has been my hair dresser for the last 3+ years and I trust her immensely for my colour, touch ups and cut and blow dry. Highly recommend.

Another amazing cut and colour with Corinne! Hair cut is fantastic - she really knows my hair and way to do with it! Colour is amazing!! Again not something I would have ever chosen without her support or indeed the trust I have in that she knows what will work! Loving the raspberry sorbet bits!!!

As always todays trip to the salon was just lovely. Marinie is outstanding and professional in every way. The coordination of every step of getting my hair coloured, washed, treatments etc is seemless. All staff are so lovely and what I love most of all is that it’s so clear you are a TEAM who have the best interests of your clients at heart. I love my new hair! We discussed how I wanted to grow my grey hair out and Corinne created an amazing new colour and shape to revitalise my curly long bob. So happy and getting lots of compliments!

As ever I left looking great - well my hair was looking great anyway! I have very thick hair which Colin cuts and colours so it lasts a good while. The night before my appointment a friend was saying how good the cut was and where’d I get it done. I was between hairdressers for a couple of years and I am so glad to have fetched up here.

Have just recovered from Covid & feeling exhausted. Corinne pampered me as usual & made me feel great.

After a challenging work week where hair care was largely set aside, I turned up at Medusa, Bread Street salon looking like Wurzell Gummage’s (Google it, youngsters ?) more neglected sister. The wonderfully talented Kate worked her magic and I left 45 minutes later in a scented cloud of soft, golden waves and a large dose of self confidence. Drop in for a quick toner and blow dry. Less than an hour to reach hair perfection. I’ll be back for more of this - for sure!

Niva did a great job with my hair. Her hands were also so gentle with my scalp that it didn't hurt at all during the whole process. My hair also looked amazing afterwards.

I'm honestly so happy with my colour done by Marnie last Friday. I had asked for a full head ash blonde highlights which can be tricky to get the right shade but she got exactly the colour in the picture I had brought and I'm so happy with the result. Thanks so much! ❤️?

I have been a client of Colin’s for many years. His business has evolved and expanded greatly but nothing has changed with regard to the quality of his cut, colour, ethos and vibe in the salon. After my cut Colin took time to cut my 2 year olds hair, her first cut. She was unsure but Colin was great with her putting her at ease, making her smile and doing a great job despite the fidgeting.
As always I highly recommended Colin and his team.

Absolutely fantastic! I had a very very last minute wedding upgrade to full day and chanced my arm for a nearby salon to get my hair done. Was a very lucky girl and got an apppointment due to a cancellation. My hair was
Beautifully done. Corinne listened to what I thought and advised what would suit. An hour later I was off to the wedding. My hair was fabulous and stayed in allllll day despite the copious amounts of fizz and dancing! Considering I had never stepped foot in the salon before, Corinne expertly sorted out my mop so I was belle of the ball.

First of all, the staff is really nice and welcoming. They also accepted to help me with making a hair donation. I didn't know what kind of style I wanted and just gave a general direction. First visit and Got my roots sorted , a toner and a cut. Kate did a lovely job. The colour didn’t take in one area and she fixed it and ensured I was happy with it before I left. Kate was really friendly and professional. Will definitely be back.

Kate knows what to do with my coarse wavy hair to make it manageable while having some kind of shape. She’s a really precise cutter and works with the wave, meaning a can just wash and go at home. Friendly, low-stress salon. No pressure to buy products, get a blow dry etc

If you're looking for a good place to get your hair done in Edinburgh, Medusa is the place to go! The staff are so friendly and they did my hair so well! Turned me from a 7 to a solid 10 in 40 mins

I have enjoyed getting my hair cut for a number of years at Bread Street. Marnie usually cuts my hair and occasionally Kate. Both are fabulous and I really appreciate their professional advice and patience - absoutely love my hair cuts! Everyone is really friendly too.
I heard that Medusa gave everyone more time off over the festive break - very impressed that the hardworking staff were appreciated by the owners and had were given a well earned break. I'm now even more likely to keep going back! Hope this continues every year and other organisations also do this. All the very best for 2022 and hope it is a better year for you all. X
