My actual haircut was alright, but my stylist (I wasn’t actually told her name so I’ve chosen a random person from the list, sorry if I got the wrong person.) said she would thin it out a little with the thinning scissors. She took so much weight out of my hair that when I put it up it looks horrible now. It’s so thin when before it wasn’t even that thick. Also, I understand that businesses are struggling at the minute, however no one told me over the phone as I booked my appointment, or when I arrived at the salon, about the extra ‘COVID charge’ for the extra 15 minutes the cut would take and PPE (my haircut took the same amount of time as it did pre-COVID). This extra charge was sprung on me last minute as I went to pay, AFTER I’d had my hair cut, so how could I back out? Adding onto this the fact that student discount isn’t being given at the moment, the haircut ended up being so expensive for me when I didn’t expect this. Customers should be well informed of ‘extra charges’ well before the haircut is done so they aren’t surprised and forced to pay more that they can afford.
