Malfunctioning stepford wives would be an apt description. Overpriced beyond belief! I would expect a 1st class experience for the cost. I just felt like I was on the production line(a slow one) I was soaked and left for a long time at the sink waiting on hair treatment. I didn't have the service of my stylist for the entire time (as I was promised when I called) the stylist was lovely but seemed very busy. I was left waiting for long periods and was apprehensively waiting on my stylist to return as I was worried my hair was being fried. The staff who were responsible for washing hair were so friendly and I got the impression that staff more senior had superiority complex. The music was far from easy listening or background. It was very loud.. I like Marc almond but jebus wept...There were a couple of very alternative hardcore tunes thrown into the mix I learned that the boss' partner is a DJ and that he does the music. I really don't think the customer or staff are consulted or considerd on the vibes!(I think they should be) I could take a wild guess that the boss decides on the ambiance! Overall I felt I was paying for the name and the rent, not for an indulgent hair experience that I wanted!
The stylists were good but not the customer service. I booked an appoiment for my bhirtday and I am no happy with the service..as soon as I arrived they told me there was a problem in the reservation. The stylists that were for me were with another client. So I accept it, considering that I booked dyeing, cutting and drying for £ 104 (my budget). So they fix the problem and put a senior stylist.
The stylist came and suggested lighting in my hair, which I agreed with.The whole process was good until the time I paid I was charged
"£128" for a haircut, a few highlights and dried on my hair...a lot more that I expected for what I got...they charge me £10 for a SmartBond bond... I have no idea what was and I was no asking for...no coming back you have prices even higher than London...considering the size and lifestyle of Belfast. I lived in London over 3 years and I never paid such a huge amount...no coming back... Thanks...
When I first walked into Andrew mulvenna they girls at the reception grated me so well I felt like a celebrity. I was just popping In for a quick blow dry as most hairdressers are closed on a Monday the guy that done my hair was amazing so confident, prefessional, and knew what he was doing my blow dry lasted me a week and they only usually last me a day or two Deffo recommend Andrew mulvenna salon. I will be back ever week especially for my massage on the basins.
Used to come to the salon years ago until I moved away. First time back in 3 years an had the same service as I didn back then left feeling beautiful an buzzing. Staff where lovely and remembered me which I didn't think they would. Love the salon can't wait to see the new one and I love the pods!!!
I had the most amazing service at Andrew Mulvenna's from being greeted by the two ladies at reception and a great wash at those fab wash chairs, great coffee! very friendly staff all very attentive just an over all great experience here would highly recommend this place to anyone by far best salon experience yet
Had such a great experience at the salon today. Came in with long lifeless hair and left with a bouncy bob !!! My stylist talked me through the whole restyle and I felt so comfortable to go for the chop ... so glad i did .. looks fab. Thanks Georgia .. cant wait to come in for the colour now. xx
This has been the worst salon I have ever experienced in the whole of UK. I went in for an expensive straightening treatment. Everyone was acting nice and was eager to entertain a new client. But then the problems started. In just 1day the straightening effect was gone which they claimed lasted a minimum of 2 weeks! When I complained, they tried to come up with tons of excuses just to take no responsibility for it. I talked to Andrew himself but I was shocked! He behaved in the most unprofessional and immature manner when faced with my complaint. Instead of solving the problem or apologising, his resort was to be completely disrespectful and even exclaiming "there are plenty of lawyers over here. If you want to take your matter there go ahead." Let me be clear here. I did not mention or threaten him with lawyers or any such thing. All I wanted was at least an apology and maybe fixing the mess-up with repeating the treatment. He has a major attitude problem and a total disregard for unhappy customers. The worst customer service ever!
Went in recently for the first time as I was looking for a new hairdresser! I have curly hair and can find it difficult to get a decent hairdresser! Well I won't be back here, I was left under a dryer to dry my hair as the stylist couldn't finish my cut until it was dry! I was under for so long my hair was frazzled and my face was very hot for ages after!when I complained to the stylist he sort of ignored my concerns when I was leaving the receptionist asked if I wanted to talk to the manager I'm not sure why she bother! I was told they done nothing wrong and pretty much told me I was over reacting! My hair looked awful how anyone would let someone leave their salon like that! I wasn't even asked how I wails like it styled or dryer! The manager was not helpfull and very unfriendly! Needless to say I won't be back there again
I have been a customer here for over five years. It used to be so good but the way a customer is treated is drastically going down hill.
After getting my hair washed my clothes are always wet. My top always has to be dried with a hair dryer, it's not good enough. My stylist disappears for a long time, whilst your left waiting, adding more time onto your day. This hasn't happened once it has now been the last few appointments. If the staff cared they would not treat their customers like this, if Andrew cared he would notice the little things going on around him.
