I wandered into T&G Xmas week on the off chance of a last minute appt and booked one for 8.45 the following morning. Not being a fan of hairdressers I woke at yam dreading my forthcoming appt. On entering the salon both the temperature and atmosphere were cold. One member of staff behind the desk didn't smile at all (surly is so passe). The franchise holder was in and out the front door dropping off Xmas supplies and could not raise a good morning or a smile. It did cross my mind to leave as this was looking very doubtful as an enjoyable experience. However at that point the stylist arrived with a beaming smile and enveloped me in a wave of confidence that she knew what she was about. She consulted me on my restyle and also have me get opinions. Good hairwash but not nearly long enough massage. Interaction with stylist throughout was natural and amusing (not snooty as I imagined T&G to be). I left the salon feeling i had received one to one service, the coffee and mincepie helped ????. Excellent stylist supported by a lacklustre ambience.
