This was my first experience of of Toni & Guy. It was great! The salon was clean and modern with a good atmosphere. I arrived quite early but I was greeted by friendly staff who sat me down and made me a coffee that came with biscuits. I was then given some current magazines to browse through for a little while. I went to the ladies loo during this point and I feel they are worth mentioning! It was so clean and hotel like. It all added to the luxery feeling of this salon. Then my stylist Angela came to say hello and made me feel very welcome. She washed my hair whilst I sat on a comfy reclining massage chair. It was all very lovely and relaxing. Angela is a warm and professional person who knows hair. I am so pleased with the attention she gave to my curly hair which isn’t always easy to cut in a flattering way. She cut it perfectly. I will definitely be coming back to this salon. Thank you very much.
Unbelievably rubbish. When I arrived they said they were an hour behind so I’d have to come back. Should have run for the hills then but stupidly I did go back. When I finally got shown to a seat I noticed how messy the place was, hair everywhere, brushes dirty, rollers and bits from previous clients still out. I showed the woman a picture, talked through what I wanted, basically long layers, taking off about 5cm to clean up ends. Couldn’t have made it clearer. She washed my hair with no care at all attacking my head with horribly smelling product, while singing very badly and chatting with her friend. Then cut my hair while dodging the air con that was blowing the hair around. The only magazine available to look at was a year old Tony & Guy hair magazine. She never checked if lengths were even. She cut the front layers too short and left the length too long and the result was a horrible mess. The ends haven't been cleaned up and the layering is awful. I wish I had never gone there. It’s going to take ages to grow out this monstrosity. I wish I could put 0 starts for all categories. They do not care at Toni & Guy in Basildon, the place should be shut down. I thought Toni & Guy were leaders in the field but this place is the worst, most amateur hairdressers I have ever experienced.
I would of put no stars if it was possible.
After a perm absolutely ruined and burnt my hair at Toni & Guy basildon, the owner only offered to further cut my hair. After this treatment my hair is still a mess. After contacting their head office I was told as I was given my money back they could do no more!!
A joke really as my hair is still ruined and will be for months to come. PLEASE DO NOT go there . Totally unprofessional!!!
I'm a long-term T&G customer, previously has cuts in Oxford, Stevenage and Stratford-on Avon. Basildon comes second to Oxford, but not by much. I have found a stylist who understands exactly what I'm aiming for - Christy is brilliant. It's not that there was anything wrong with previous cuts, it's just that this one makes them all seem lees good somehow. I'm being really picky though!
