My whole experience of coming to Luminous since moving from virgin active to Petts Wood is one of frustration. It is no longer a relaxing time that I look forward to but rather something that I have to do for my hair. The only saving grace is the staff you have an excellent team that keeps me coming back but I no longer have my nails or waxing done here. I arrived today at 2:30 PM and did not leave until 545. Only one wash-basin!? And it’s been going on for too long.

A really disappointing experience and I will.not be back. I did not know the spa would be in a temporary back-room above a disused bank. Staff were unapologetic when I told them I had not been told to expect that when booking - or indeed that I had to access the spa from a buzzer in the street. I had to go through a neighbouring salon and along an access road to get to it. My therapist was great but I found reception to be surly and unfriendly. Not the spa experience I was so looking forward to. Certainly not worth premium prices of £40. A real shame as I have been a client for many many years. I will definitely not be returning.

Great treatments, however, the salon is still a work in progress, have to walk through a building site and climb outside steps in the dark wasn’t the best, high price service for low cost experience

Trinity is the best masseur I have ever had. She is very aware of problem areas and wirks efficiently to relieve pain and stress.

Kirsty is always the professional and reassuring; even with the most sensitive of treatments.

Loyal to the good therapist followed the move from virgin and have just endured the 3 visit to the ‘ temporary ‘ salon . Access either through a building undergoing major renovation or via a muddy alley - not sure my patience will last . It’s a pity but can only be the result of terrible ownership without a proper business plan . Amazed they The health and safety people haven’t closed access -

Loved coming to the beauty/salon when it was at Virgin, it’s more of an effort now but feel very comfortable with Amy doing my hair, would be so gutted if she was to leave. Very disappointed that staff are now leaving. Have been coming to the spa for over 10 years & a beauty spa holder, have been looking at cancelling this

Even though I felt like I was walking through a derelict building in a scene from the walking dead, my experience with Amy was fantastic as always. She always does an amazing job and I leave loving my hair and the experience I had whilst being with her, she always makes m feel welcome and at ease and I ALWAYS leave looking a feeling great which is 100% down to her! Although I cannot fault my experience in the temporary setting it has to be said it is a very unprofessional setting to be in and I would go as far as to say unsafe to get to due to it being pretty much a building site. This however would not stop me from being a loyal customer as Amy is fantastic and should receive recognition for that!

I am a fairly new guest of Lumis having only had a few massages in the past which I have to say are excellent by the way. My therapist Emily in particular is both professional and highly skilled with treatments I have which is great.

A lovely spa with wonderful staff. Temporary location isn’t perfect but still a great experience.

Today l had a wash and blow dry. I had my hair colour done last week. Everything was wonderful. Can't thank you enough.

The entrance round the back is appalling. I had an appt at 5 and it was dark pot holes mud and wet. Not nice. At least lighting was a little better this time. Receptionist kindly let me out with her mobile phone down the steps

Firstly I would like to say well done to the whole team who have just moved and are still going above and beyond regardless of the circumstances at the moment, I’m sure you all can’t wait for the official new premises! Well done!
Came for a 30min deep tissue with Emily and I can say I feel so much better it was needed, treatment was up to standard and definitely worked some of my knots, thank you! Definitely recommend Luminis to everyone!

I appreciate it’s difficult times for staff to operate whilst work is being carried out in the salon and under the circumstances they did extremely well. The inconvenience to customers is recognised by a 20% reduction in cost which is welcome but I feel strongly that some financial recognition of the difficult operating circumstances should be shown towards staff....having to eat their lunch in the same room as hair washing is taking place is not pleasant never mind the lack of privacy for them.

Receiving my text from you this morning prompted me to use my Birthday voucher from my children. I thoroughly enjoyed my facial, especially the face, head and neck massage. I haven’t felt so relaxed in ages! Thank you x

I was more than happy with Kirsty and my treatments. She is a true professional and it was a wonderful experience as usual.
However I do not think the venue is good. It is limited and not up to the usual standard you would expect to have going to a Spa for treatment .
I think the staff are doing an amazing job in difficult circumstances.
Let's hope the new premises will be done soon otherwise you might lose customers. The 20% off is a help.

Even though the location has changed. The quality of service hasn’t. Really impressed.

Not quite the same experience at the moment . Not really a relaxing environment or nice welcome . Hopefully when they move into new premises things will be better but don’t think I will go again as even with reduction it wasn’t worth it . The staff are normally friendly and chatty but I think I got her on a bad day and the whole thing seemed rushed and without much care.
If you choose not to have gels as it can damage nails or you like to change colours and remove yourself in between visits, they don’t have a good range of colours anymore and they have not renewed for a long time .

Lumina's Spa is famous in my area for its kind and friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them, whether it is a cup of tea or re-arranging appointments or just being warm and friendly. Xxx
