I used to come at this salon and be happy with the colour and the service, now not anymore.
After my usual stylist left, I did use two hair colorists: one got the color right the first time, but the second time did a terribile job: she didn 't color the left side of my head properly leaving brassing hair around. The third time, last week, I asked for a slightly less red color compared to the usual color. The color has turned to be almost black with a slightly red tone. I look like a 80 years old witch.
Frankly I am tired to be gaslighted by the employees, I am tired to be not listened, to have employees trying to destroying my self-esteem by making my hair more fit for a 80years' old witch in Grimm's fairy tale.
I want something softer, lighter, elegant and they just manage to make it vulgar, cheap, old, harsh. If I bought a box dye I would have had a better result (I know because I did it during the pandemia). I really miss the professionalism and the skills of a good hairdresser.

I recommend Hob to anyone I know. I'm quite particular about how I want my hair colour, so I keep returning to Mike because he's just amazing! He has a great eye for colour and detail, my highlights look great and natural even when growing out a bit. Even the hair cut is just perfect for my fine long hair.
The salon is huge, bright, the owner and staff always friendly and with a smile on their face.

Not sure I got what I wanted and u left with an ugly stripe in my hair ( which I warned against ). Ever since you closed the Belsize location this salon has gone downhill.

My FAVOURITE hairdresser, I only trust this lady to do my hair.
I have annoy thick, dreadlock hair that would make most hairdressers have a panic attack; but my girl is so skilled she has me walking out looking like a 1960s goddess. The bigger the better and this girl always delivers.
She is super professional and has the calmest energy around;)

I cannot fault Nellie’s obvious talent for her colour techniques. She has been able to reduce the impact of a previously bad colour result and achieve what I was looking for. She is very knowledgeable in terms of her advice wrt the longer term approach to maintaining my colour. She was patiently (I know, I know..) aware of how to balance what length I want to keep vs keeping my hair looking healthy. She is usually (always) right!
One other thing to note is Nellie’s interaction with her peers, especially the juniors. She shows a very professional level of respect in a friendly and collaborative manner.

I have paid 60 pounds for olaplex 1 and 2 and it was left on my hair for less than 2 minutes, so I did not get the the effect expected.

Very very nice colour. First time having colour and am please with it.
Very expensive but not Nellie’s fault salon is very expensive. Cut cost should be included in colour service.

We do understand that our prices can be a bit on the higher side, but we always strive to provide top-notch services and use the best products for our clients.
As for the cut cost not all of our stylist offer this service and some of the stylist only offer cutting appointments, this is to ensure all of our stylist are paid fairly However, we appreciate your feedback and will definitely take it into consideration.

Good job but added over £60 worth of treatment on without mentioning or even asking me! It is so rude and unprofessional and obviously intentionally done to get more money off you as the hair dressers there get a percentage of each job that they do. I have NEVER left a bad review before but i am so shocked at the way he was so sneaky and unprofessional. I was a returning customer but would never attend this branch again or use him. So disappointing!

I will speak to Mike but the last time you were in you had the same service but without a blow dry (Balayage, Toner & Olaplex) on the 14th Feb 2023, As you should have been aware we also had a price increase on all services from 1st Oct 2023 which we had emailed all clients from August/ September.
