HARE & BONE - London

HareandBone gave me back my confidence.
5.0

I have been going to Amy for over a year now. I haven't been happy with a haircut since I was about 13 years old, but Hare and Bone isn't just an ordinary salon. I first called them and quite desperately explained that my hair is receding and I'm at my wits end about it, and Nurin (sorry if I spelt that wrong) at reception was extremely sympathetic, patient and very helpful. She knew straight away who to reccomend I see, as well as having great knowledge herself, and offered me a couple of stylists with different price ranges - so she didn't just try and get me to spend more! Most importantly, she stopped me feeling embarrassed as she was so reassuring.
Amy spent almost 2 hours altogether with me. I am a man, and I've never had anyone spend more than half an hour with me from start to finish. She sat down with me, discussed my options but actually listened to me- another thing a hairdresser has never done for me. I explained what I found difficult and also where my hair sits on bad days, because let's face it hair never misbehaves on the day of your appointment does it so it's always so hard to explain! She never once cut me off with a 'miraculous solution' and really took note of what it was I wanted to get from the cut. All i wanted was to have the most normal haircut I could that hid my hairline, yet she blew me away by giving me the trendiest haircut I've ever had! She spends so long on it, it's really clear to see she takes pride in her work, and sculpts to you individually as apposed to just doing the standard thing as if everyone's hair was the same. She is very technical in her approach, and just today I sat there thinking to myself how glad I am to have found this salon. The staff are genuinely nice people, and I am always so well looked after. A long review yes, but hair is important to us all and this place really is an exception. It gave me back my confidence.
