I was apprehensive about going to a new hairdresser (after Jo left). But Nicky spent time with me when I arrived to work out what I wanted and I am pleased with the result, as is my husband.

The staff at Martin Gold are always professional they always make you feel important and they care about their customers. Michael is an amazing hairdresser who as always takes the time to listen and to put you at ease if you are unsure and need advice.
I’ve come here on and off since we moved to the area in 2003 and I normally leave with a smile. But this time, I was served by a rather grumpy member of staff whom complained that she was hungry whilst seemingly cutting my hair in a hurry. In the end, my cut was not what I asked for (I asked for layers) even after telling her she did it wrong. What a lovely team they are but I was left with an uninterested stylist.

I visited MG for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Had a complete colour change from red to blonde with the lovely and very talented Gabby. She did an amazing job, I’m so happy with it! Clean salon, friendly staff, I will be going back!
Absolutely love MG Hairdressing. Always have the most wonderful service. Today I had a complete restyle going from long hair to just above my shoulder. Lisa for colour and Adam for the cut and blow dry - couldn’t be happier.
Wonderful - had The Works: roots, highlights, cut and blow dry. Was treated like a VIP. Fabulous colour by Lisa, outstanding cut and blow dry by Adam, the Best shampoo and head massage by Dean (with help from Georgia). Excellent atmosphere. A v pleasant way to spend the afternoon and delighted with the result!

Been going here for years and always come out with a consistent cut. Even the experimental cuts are well done and easy to look after.
Great until Sam came in. In all my life I’ve never experienced anything like it. I thought I was the customer. Alan Sugar and me would have said you’re fired ????
Anna my hairdresser very nice and helpful. However semi permanent colour washed out as soon as she shampooed it. I was charged full price however for this! I also did not appreciate the floorshow. I found out later I that it was the director of the company having a row with her ex-boyfriend. Terrible behaviour in front of customers screaming and shouting and swearing at one point at the top of their voices. No one told them to take it outside!!!
Went for my daughters first haircut, Anna was really good. Very happy with the style and service.
The hair cut and service was good, nothing special. There was an attitude to quickly turnover customers here, so they were in a rush to quickly do my hair so I could leave and they can get onto the next customer. My hairdresser was quite reliant on straighteners and hair tongs rather than making more of an effort on a blow dry which was a shame. She hasn’t blended the layers well either as part of the cut, which again is a shame. All in all it was ok but I was a bit dissatisfied and didn’t feel that pampered.

I didn’t like my hair after the cut with a young stylist. Maybe next time I will get a better stylist. Or try somewhere else.
They did not brush me off after so I had lots of snips of hair on me at the end of the cut

Excellent as usual. Made last minute call for an appt, my regular stylist was not available so booked in with a manager. Got a call back to say my usual stylist could see me as a last appt after all.

Great colour job by Lisa today. I wanted something different and following her expert advice, went for tint at the roots and balayage throughout. Absolutely love the outcome and was looked after really well there. My first visit to Martin Gold and certainly not my last!
