I went to this Jo Ferns in Ashton a day before my graduation asking for a hair colour that they told me they would be able to do. I had previously visited and they managed to do it then so i trusted they could this time. I paid £140 and they ruined my hair by making it dark brown and extremely warm which was the exact opposite i wanted. They failed to fix it as they then made my hair bright blonde. Complete waste of money and time. £140 for them to ruin my hair. Would not recommend, service is extremely poor and they don’t care about their clients. They agree to do hair and sell a lie by saying they can do it. They gave me no reimbursement for ruining my hair. Would never go back and wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy.

Worst hair cut and colour ever

I had my hair completely wrecked by ***** and six months later I am still struggling with it! I have tried to speak to someone about this on numerous occasions but I have been totally ignored. Not what I would expect from a Jo Ferns Salon after visiting the salons for around twenty years.

Very upset that my hair which was lovely before has been layered all wrong when I specifically stated I did not have layers and over processed causing breakage all over!

Very let down !

Butchered

When a person has difficult to manage, extremely thick hair this does not mean that the appropriate thing to do is to hack at it with thinning scissors.
And when I say hack, I mean hack in the style of a psychopath in a rage. I asked for a long pixie which looks fine until you look closer to see the many , many 1 cm tufts amongst the 12 cm top lengths. My hair looks thin and lank and will take ages to grow back. Unless you have long hair and want something that takes no skill at all - avoid like the plague or you too could end up looking like you have miniature hedgehog growths throughout your head.

Was shopping in Ashton as I usually do and passed this salon. To be honest it was the interior that attracted to me, big ornate mirrors and chandelers so I just thought I'd pop in and get a card. The lady on reception was so friendly and genuine (not sure if it was the owner/manager) that I asked if they had any appointments for the next day. She asked me if I would mind a male hair stylist and that he would give me a consultation before the chop as I fancied something a bit different.
The next day I walked in and met my stylist Ander's who was very friendly and focused on me and my hair. In the nicest possible way he said that he could take years of me and that I had lovely skin and that my mid lengh hair wasn't really doing it. I was going to try an undercut but so glad he talked me out of it and opted for a pixie style cut.
He washed my hair himself which I thought was a really nice touch and I actually said to him 'If your cutting skills are half as good as your shampooing I be

Awful

I had my hair cut by a guy called Andos.
My appointment started with me being put in the waiting area, where Andos looked me up and down like I was a piece of crap, then he walked over to ?the manager with long curly hair and obviously insulted my appearance. I did not hear them, but they both kept looking at me and whispering.
It was like being in a bitchy playground.
Andos then came over and asked me how I wanted my hair. I *had* long blonde hair and wanted the ends taking off and layers cutting in. What I got was basically a long basin cut with no layers and to finish off he blew my hair into a disgusting mushroom bob.
He could tell I hated it and kept on about how I just needed to get used to it.
As I begrudgingly went to pay the manager woman called him back, where they continued whispering and looking at me until I left.
Crappy haircuts and Massive Arrogance = Jo Fern's Ashton
