The Hairdressing Company

I'm absolutely unhappy with my color. It was supposed to be light brown (I've been told is mix of 7and 8) and turned up to be dark brown.
I called and been connected to the hairdresser who did my color (rather than manager) who argued the color was not dark brown and haven't suggested any help or advice except being very rude and argumentative! It gave me bad experience even though I was regular customer and surely I will never come back there again if the customer satisfaction doesn't mean anything at all! All I want now is money refund since I'm now stick with color I absolutely can't stand.

After having a very bad hair cut from a previous hair dresser. I was nervous about getting my hair cut again! But I had a great experience this time.
Jordan spent time with me, to make sure I had not only a brilliant experience but got a hair cut that works with my life style also would suit me. I'm really pleased with the results.

I tried many hairdressers in Hitchin before I found THC. Now I will not go anywhere else! Great customer care, lovely products and a real listening ear to meet your requests. The colouring and cutting are always just want I want.

My hair was in a bad way when I entered the salon, and in need of some tender loving care.
That's exactly what I received today with Jordan, she was very professional and gave some good advice.
I have booked to come back in 5 weeks and must say loved the massage chair when my hair was being washed.

I thought I'd try The Hairdressing Company after too many disappointments at my previous hairdresser. I'm so glad I did! My hair hasn't looked this good in months! I had half head highlights by Sarah and a cut and blow dry by Jordan, and they both did a fab job. I'll definitely be going back and I recommend anyone to go there.

Having been with the same hair dressers for 25 years I was alittle nervous about the change.I have to say though that Jenny who styled my hair put me at ease straight away. She talked me through the pros and cons with regards to having different lengths applied to the hair style I wanted and which would suit me best. She certainly knows the art of crafting hair and left me with exactly what I wanted.

Have just had my 1st visit to the salon. Was excellent, love my colour,cut and especially my blow dry. I normally have my hair strait but the stylist put a bit of body and curl through the ends, I've had lots of complements already!

I have been having my hair done by THC for years and years, because I am very happy with their cutting and they are always ready and waiting at the agreed appointment time.
Great hair, no hassle, nice friendly service. Perfect.

This was my first visit and I booked Wayne to cut and blowdry my hair. Had a text to confirm appointment on booking. Well looked after, loved the massage chair while having hair washed! Wayne was chatty and friendly and I was pleased with my cut. Will return again.

My usual hairdresser at THE has moved on to a new salon so Chynna cut my hair for the first time, she was lovely and I was really pleased with the haircut. My only criticism would be the salon juniors were not particularly friendly and didn't smile once which made the atmosphere less enjoyable and my hair was washed by someone wearing latex gloves, I understand there would have been a reason for this like dermatitis etc but it felt like my hair was being pulled out whilst being washed and was rather painful.

I've been going to The Hairdressing Company for about 6 months now having just moved to the area. Finding a new hairdresser is one of the most stressful things a lady has to do - so I was delighted to find THC, as it's an Aveda salon and I'm a huge fan. As well as that, the salon is lovely and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. My new stylist is amazing, and I walk out feeling like a super-model every time I visit.

I've been going to the Hairdressing Company for 15 years and have had great haircuts and service there. I can't recommend them highly enough, especially Shazia and Wayne who are fantastic hairdressers. Aveda colours are great too. I am also grateful for the free fringe trim service between cuts. They always make you feel welcome and the relaxed and friendly atmosphere in both salons is a plus.

Overall very satisfied.
Great expertise of staff. Short staffed the day of my visit and staff found it difficult to attend to / give everyone undivided attention to their needs and schedules .
These things happen sometimes and because I know the staff it's quite ok by me, but somebody new might not be so accommodating. Just something to bear in mind.

It is always tricky trying out a new hairdresser. Will they understand my hair and my needs? Well, I needn't have worried at all. From the start, I was made to feel welcome and looked after. My hairdresser, Maggie instantly understood what I wanted and also added great suggestions that were oerfect. The massage chair while having my hair washed was an added bonus. The products used smell wonderful. The result - a very happy customer, who inmediately booked my next appointment. Thank you Maggie and thank you Hairdressing Company.

First visit to this hairdressers due to my usual hairdresser moving away.
Found online and was impressed from the initial phone call to them.
Welcome on the day was warm and friendly, Sarah (colourist) and Jenny (cut) both actually listened to what I wanted and delivered. They were professional and made me feel at ease and relaxed in their hands.
I can honestly say it was the best overall salon experience I have ever encountered; my colour is exactly what I had been after for a while and my cut was perfect.
So refreshing to finally find a salon like this. Even the decor and music were spot on!
Will definitely be recommending and returning..

Great haircut and a very friendly salon with gorgeous products!

Recently went to this salon for the first time. I was really pleased with my cut and style and was given great tips for easier styling. They listened to what I asked for. The true test is recreating it yourself. I got exactly the cut I wanted and it's so easy now and I definitely have the feel good factor!

My first time here, lovely staff, they really take care of you and make you feel comfortable. The atmosphere is relaxing too. Shazia did my wash and cut, and listened to what I wanted before she gave her own recommendations and that was really helpful and made me feel at ease. Happy with the result - for the first time in a long time - and this is definitely my go-to hairdressers from now on! (One negative is that I think I was overcharged and the price wasn't really broken down for me.)

Just visited for half head of highlights and cut and finish and I am very happy with my hair. Sarah did the highlights and the colour is exactly what I asked for and very nicely done and natural looking. Maggie did my cut and did a lovely job as I have very thick hair and a lot of hairdressers don't understand how it needs to be cut to fall well. Everyone in the salon was genuinely friendly and I felt that I was properly listened to when discussing what I wanted and I got the result I was after. Reasonably priced, not at all rushed and a very nice salon. I will definitely return
