A perfect cut and perfect experience as ever

I’ve had my hair cut by Sarah for years. This woman really knows how to cut hair! I’m often complimented on my hair and I always tell people it’s the Sarah touch!

She asked what I wanted, made a helpful suggestion, and achieved what to my mind was a great result. This was more than I would normally pay for a haircut but the outcome fully justified it.

I really don't love my hair and expressed that in the salon l while I was there. I booked in for balayage and explained with picture reference that I wanted to keep the contrasting tones I had in my my hair and build on it. I explained that wanted the light parts lighter and higher but needed to keep the dark in my hair'. I also said absolutely no orange tones. And please pin my hair as I have an event . Instead I was talked into baby lights which I explained I was not familiar with and went with it out of trust. On reflection this was a complete mistake as the result is an all over lighter colour with an almost total loss of the contrast I had throughout the hair .. and to me my hair now looks totally orange in general as a result. It is so far away from what I wanted and asked for and when I explained this I was told next time you can add dark (??!) I also feel the roots are way too light. I as you can tell am seriously disappointed in the colour . As for the styling although it looked good at the time it was not pinned as asked instead I was told it would be done tighter to last. I explained that my hair falls quickly and was told to put some spray in when I got home (!!?) . Without any other options I did this as instructed but it fell so much it did not last till the following morning. I guess the worst part is when I look in the mirror all I see is orange and no contrasting colours. I don't hate it but it's about a million miles from love.. and really wish I hadn't done anything as I don't want to damage my hair and have spent quite a bit of money on this and feel like I wish I could go back before and start again.

It’s difficult to find a hairdresser that understands how to do a good curly cut, but today I had the best one ever. I’m so happy.

I’m really fussy over who cuts my hair and I was really nervous going to a new hairdresser but Betsy knew what she was doing and instantly put me at ease . This was my first visit to Lounge and i was very, very impressed. Betsy is a marvellous stylist and i was very pleased with the results of my colour and how she cut and styled my hair. Some salons can by very chaotic but this was peaceful and relaxing. I was also impressed that they brought me a pot of tea not just a mug.

Betsy did an amazing job on both colour and styling my hair! I wanted to go super blonde but she advised me this would be detrimental for my hair- she was honest about what was realistic but the hair still lifted a lot and looks healthier than ever after a generous trim! Two weeks later the colour is gorgeous and my hair is in great condition. I will definitely be booking back in with her ❤️ my time in the salon was very relaxing with constant coffee refills and lovely staff checking in on you :)

Today was my first visit to The Lounge and Betsy was brilliant. Her consultation beforehand was so thorough and today she completely changed my hair for me. After having children my hair has been so weak and lacked any style and for the first time in 4 years I feel like the old me a little bit. Excellent value for money and she worked for 3 hours straight fixing me up. All the staff were very friendly too! Thank you.

PS it is a lovely salon too with great massage chairs!

Betsy listened to my comments and we discussed possibilities of re styling and enhancing colour. She took so much care in every cut she made,she really cared .
