I have been a customer of Oakwood Beauty since Lisa opened her first salon too many years ago to remember. In this time I have found that all the therapists have been trained to Lisa’s exacting standards.
The main difference to other salons is they are constantly updating their products and services from nail colours to the latest facials and equipment.
I have regular facials, massages, manicures etc with all the different girls and I have to honestly say, there isn’t a single girl in there I would hesitate to use. I had my eyebrows microbladed last year and I was so pleased with them. They look completely natural and you would never know.

Fully body massage was terrible. I don't think the therapist had any clue about techniques or muscles of the body. She kept going up and down bony bits like a xylophone and couldn't identify and work on any tense areas, even though I told her it was my shoulders and back.
It was also very cold in the room (this was during winter) and I was told "oh this is the only bed that doesn't heat up". Yet the other rooms were not in use.
Would not return for a body treatment - if you want indulgence, choose somewhere else

I regularly have pedicures here and the are wonderful. So relaxing with such comfortable massage chairs and foot spas. Today I had a back massage and it was really good. Georgia was wonderful at getting the kinks out and the heated plinth was so comforting. The room was lovely too.

My eyebrows are fabulous and they were done by Kendal. She made me feel completely comfortable and happy with laughs along the way. I love my brows and feel more confident! Thanks ????

I have been visiting Oakwood Beauty for many years and the welcome you receive from all the staff is the same from the very first day. Sharon on the front desk not only gives you a warm welcome but gives you expert advice on any product you wish to purchase from lovely sented candles to how best to care for your skin from a wonderful range of products. Any treatment from facials to manicures are done with care and expertise - Becca takes time to let you choose your nail colour and gives a wonderful manicure making it look so easy !

The salon I usually go to for my spray tans were experiencing some issues with their suppliers last week so I booked to have it at Oakwood Beauty. As I have them fairly regularly, I know how to prepare my skin for the tan and had exfoliated properly beforehand. On the day of the appointment the girl who did it was ok, not overly helpful or friendly but fine. She allowed me to put the feet protectors on and off myself which is not the easiest particularly when you are trying not to smudge the tan!
I washed it off the following morning and couldn't believe my eyes. I had patches that had been missed all over my feet and hands and the underside of my arms had been completely missed. I looked ridiculous. I rang the salon as I knew I couldn't put it right myself and was so relieved when someone picked up the phone as it was a Sunday. The girl told me the salon was shut and they were there doing some work on the salon. I explained what had happened and told her i was going on holiday the following day so really needed some help to sort it out beforehand. She was totally and utterly bored and didn't apologise but took my name and number and said she would get the owner to call me back. She informed me that she was the receptionist there!
I left my details and waited for the owner to call but unfortunately I did not hear anything from her and had to fly to Spain looking ridiculous. I told the receptionist to tell the owner it was the worst tan I had ever had; obviously this was not a priority for the owner.
I have been back for a week now and she still hasn't contacted me. Clearly customer service is not at the top of the list for this salon and I wasted £30.
Will not return.
I booked an eyebrow shape for Saturday 25th June - I have never been before and as I have only recently moved to the area I wanted to try it - the salon is very clean and staff are friendly however the result of my eyebrow shape was terrible - they are both mismatched one is longer than the other and I have a slight hole / slit in one of my eyebrows terrible as they charge £12 which is a lot more expensive than a lot of places I have been to!
