I have been going to Damian James for my hair cutting and styling for 15 years, ever since I moved to Ripon from Leeds. Always experienced excellent friendly service with a smile. Good value and relaxed atmosphere. And comes with a coffee as standard for good measure.
I am glad I accidentally popped in to the salon to book my facial.

Came in for a quick snip, I have very curly hair so it’s always a gamble whether you will find someone who understands how curly hair hangs, Charlotte was absolutely fantastic! I think the cut is one of the beat I’ve ever had and I really like my new fringe. Very friendly and charming staff, if I lived here fully this would be the only hairdresser I would go too. My first visit to the salon 01 /06/17 . I fancied a complete change and thought a perm would do it. Damian spent time with me to make sure and did a fantastic job. Just made a follow up appointment for a cut as still lots of perm in. Couldn't be happier with the style and service. Thanks

Unfortunately I'm having to write this on an open forum as there doesn't appear to be an email address I can send this. I came into the salon for a restyle and asked to keep the lenghth. I wanted a long bob and left extreamly upset when a good 4 inches were chopped off the front. I'm very unhappy and upset, whilst the stylist was lovely it was not what I'd asked for and I even pointed this out at the end. Nothing was said, no apology just shrugged it off. I came home and cried. Very disappointed with the outcome and as it's so short and severe there is nothing I can do with it until it grows.
I recently started having gel nails by Amy and can't speak too highly of the service provided, the welcome I received as a new customer, and her expertise in applying the product. These are the best gel nails I've ever had, they last up to two weeks and still look good!
A great and efficient service. I left the shop happy and ready to show off my new hairstyle. Thank you so much.

As always the standard of customer service at Damian James Ripon was excellent, with Damian himself taking a keen interest and overview of all that goes on in his salon.
On this visit i had a different stylist, Kirsty, who was welcoming, professional, took a good deal of time to understand the needs of a new client etc.
My haircut overall was very good, my fringe i would have liked a little longer, but it will grow! Overall a very happy customer. Thank you

So today for the first time I booked an appointment in Damian James, I walked in with bluey green hair and requested to leave with ashy grey hair . Extremely impressed with the skills used and time given to get the job done effectively !! Great advice given and really happy with the level of expertise and results they achieved. Love my hair and definately plan on returning :)

I've been going to Damian James since it opened 10 years ago. The team are always friendly and helpful but my reason for staying is; 1). you are not just a number. You are looked after and if you don't like your hair colour, they fix it. I'm sometimes offered freebies or testers and my opinion counts. 2). What is also important is they know what they are talking about. The team can explain it. Overall experience is 10 out of 10. My favourite part is getting my hair washed with the head massage. Bliss!

Damian runs a highly professional and cost effective salon. I always feel welcome and at home at the salon and would recommend it to others. The salon is very clean and tidy and the decor is modern and well maintained. From what I know the salon is fully equipped for all hairdressing and beauty needs. I have never had any trouble booking an appointment and his modern booking system provides me with helpful reminder for my appointments.
