TONI&GUY YORK opened in the town in 1998.

We are committed to providing the ultimate salon experience, paying great attention to customer service. Our talented team of stylists and technicians are on hand to give you expert advice on the latest trends and services.

Members of our salon are part of the TONI&GUY Session Team and have worked alongside the International Artistic Team on catwalk shows at London Fashion Week, bringing the latest trends from the catwalk to our clients.

Members of our Colour team hold the prestigious Wella master colour expert-their knowledge and expertise are on hand to advise you on the latest colours and techniques.

We offer many additional services including Bridal and Occasion hair, the NanoKeratin Smoothing blow-dry and Microlinks/ring Tape extensions. Our wide range of haircare products include label.m, Kerastase, GHD, Wella, Tangle Teezer to keep your hair salon perfect until your next visit.

STRENGTH IN STYLE Strength in Style is now available in this salon, offering people affected by cancer specialist support and advice on hair care. This service includes styling pre, during and post treatment hair, and wig personalisation with the option to purchase synthetic and human hair wigs. This is now the second time I’ve visited the salon. And I must say it’s such a lovely salon, all the staff are friendly, kind and welcoming. I like the chilled out atmosphere of the salon and how nice Cameron was from the start and didn’t force conversation until I was ready which I love I hate that awkward small talk I’ve had in many other salons. He did a really good job of listening to what I wanted and checked at every stage to make sure I was okay with what was happening and that I was happy with the outcome. I also bought products from the salon but in no way did I feel forced too it felt like it was my decision which was lovely

Left it late to book an appointment but so glad I did ! Cam cut my hair for the first time & did a fabulous job.
Explained how I wanted it cutting and that’s exactly what I got. I have the back very short & this was all expertly cut with scissors- no clippers in sight.
Have had lots of compliments from friends on the quality of the cut too.
I always get a great haircut at Toni & Guy but this is one of the best ever. I’m super happy with it and will 100% be booking my next appointment with Cam.

I came in following having my haircut the day before (not at Tony & Guy) It didn’t quite go to plan…
I was in need of drastic help.

From the minute Ellie sat down for consultation to the minute I left, I felt so much better.

Not only did Ellie fix the disaster cut I had she made it look incredible. I’ve had nothing but great comments since leaving the salon.

I also need to add the front of house was also impeccable, offering me drinks and provided a fantastic welcome.

I enjoyed my experience so much I’ve rebooked for my next visit.

Extremely happy with colour, cut and style from Rona as always ❤️

One point though about the person who washed my hair. Although she was lovely, because she was wearing gloves when she pulled her hands through my hair it really snagged and pulled which was quite uncomfortable.

For that reason alone I haven’t given the usual five stars

As always, another fantastic experience, hair cut and highlights, I receive amazing results, advice and great recommendations as well as a great catch up! I wouldn’t go any where else…Claire and Jenny really are the best. My hair always looks beautiful when I leave. I get far more compliments about my hair since coming to Claire (cut &style) and Jenny (colour). Any is fantastic. She engages really well with my two boys (age 13 and 10) and meets them where they’re at with their very different conversation styles! I was feeling nervous about having my hair done as I have a scar on my head which makes me very self conscious. Cameron was really friendly and chatty and really put me at ease right from the start. He gave good advice and cut and styled my hair just how I wanted it. I’m so happy with it.

A very refreshing cool down at the basin followed by a genuinely lovely shampoo, it felt like a full on head massage and then the head massage began!
Claire was, as ever, attentive, thoughtful and knowledgeable about my hair, embracing suggestions and feedback and giving me a lovely new hairstyle .
Could have asked for more... apart from a bit less water maybe!

Hair ruined by ****!

This salon really knows how to scam people for money. The "franchisor" allows staff to mess customers hairs. And tells customers they have to pay for getting their hair fixed after spending £140 when THEY were the ones ruined it by applying a totally different colour. And putting it on system it's exactly the "same"
What a way for them to make money! Don't waste money on this place !

Reviews such as yours are invaluable in helping us continue to maintain the high standards our clients expect from TONI&GUY.

Firstly, please accept my sincere apologies for the dissatisfaction you felt with the colour service you received at TONI&GUY.
As we’ve emailed you:
After looking into this further at the salon, the salon have advised your stylist did explain on the date of your most recent service due to the home dye which had been used on the hair, there was a colour band where this had grown out due to this, it was explained she would need to pull the colour down and it would be a work in progress to achieve the desired colour results you wanted, this is also due to the level (shade) of your hair and they would not be able to lift this to the desired shade in one appointment as they would not want to compromise the condition of your hair which was explained with her colour specialist expertise.

As a professional salon we have advised, on several occasions you have been dissatisfied with your results and would like to sincerely apologise for this and have provided multiple re-do services for you however, after looking into this further, they have advised the time left between your colour services, are not the recommended 6-8 weeks and upon checking your salon profile notes which are date and time stamped, We have previously advised you in November 2021 at the end of your service that you needed to return within 12 weeks as the lightness cannot be achieved with large regrowth and due to the depth of your hair however, they provided the re-do services as gestures of goodwill even though you were advised to achieve the results required you would need to visit more regularly.

In view of the above, the salon feel they are unable to achieve the results you wish and their hairdressing expertise and advice has not been taken on board therefore, they feel they are no longer able to provide any further services for you due to your continual dissatisfaction.

I appreciate this was not the answer you were hoping for, and I do empathise however, we are unable to assist any further on this matter and deem this as closed.

As a valued customer, we're genuinely sorry that your positive feelings toward the brand have begun to decline.
