Unfortunately last visit was a painfully slow awkward hair cut. Resulting in me feeling very unhappy with outcome and indeed although supposedly being dealt with by a fully qualified stylist another stylist had to come over and finish the job after a 1hr 30 minute hair cut on very very short hair. Sadly unimpressed when previously all I had to say about this salon was exceptionally good things.Manager promised free hair cut and contact to resolve neither ever materialised despite ensuring that they had correct details twice.
I popped in for a haircut the other day, they were able to fit me in and I was welcomed into the salon.
Unfortunately the girl cutting my hair took a chunk out my hair above my ear with her clippers, down to the scalp. My hair is short here so it's quite noticeable, until it grows back. I didn't notice it until I got home and saw it up close in the mirror so I obviously didn't say anything at the time. I accept that mistakes happen, but there was no way that the stylist couldn't have known she'd done this, and I was disappointed that she hadn't said anything to me, and had charged me the full price. In my opinion she should have pointed out her mistake straightaway and not charged me, so on that basis I unfortunately won't be going back or recommending the salon.
Sam's been cutting my hair for years and she never disappoints. Fantastic cut and colour my hair always feels fabulous after ????
Have been coming to Hays for years for cut and colour. Sam is amazing and always has great suggestions for subtle changes and to cover my greys. Always feel great when I walk out the door.

Absolutely love how my hair looks after getting it cut short. I was so nervous about how it would look, but Erica did such a good Job! She always remembers exactly what my hair is like, how I had it cut last time and how I like it styled, even though I've only been to Hays a couple of times before. Very happy customer!

My 10 year old daughter had her ears pierced and we felt at ease and pleased with the result. I was disappointed that there was no cleaning products available to take home as they had run out. I personally would have thought that if you make an appointment to have your ears pierced that there should be some put aside. I would recommend Hays for ear piercing.

Quick to answer the phone and to fit me in for a last minute appointment, staff were really friendly and welcoming. Quirky decor with the cutting stations being old wooden dressing tables. I had a very simple, 1 length dry cut which cost me £26, stylist did a very nice job!
Even at this time of year when things are starting get a little manic, the staff and service remain good.

My mum goes and I was looking at dying my hair again, and went in with mum and asked Sams opinion on what to do, so I decided to have it coloured there. Sams was really good she choose a colour close to my natural colour and it has turned out really good

Had my hair cut and styled again today and I'm so pleased with it. Really pleased with the service I had from Erica.
I was pleased with my cut and blow dry and had a very nice stylist but found the hair washing process uncomfortable during even afterwards due to the basin which had no neck support and perhaps it would be helpful if the seat level could be adjusted to assist comfort.
The staff are lovely but this one issue may put me off visiting again unless it can be addressed
My stylist was very good and cut my hair well but I did have an issue during hair washing process due to the very uncomfortable bowl that I had to lean back into. Not sure if the seat height was wrong or it was the bowl itself but it caused me discomfort at the time and afterwards to a degree. Perhaps some sort of support on the basin would help. Other than that, staff are friendly and my hair was cut well

Sam always gets it right and today I went for a little change and it's perfect.
I never book in advance and just go with whoever is on, on the day. I wasn't dissapointed. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and really listen in the consult.
