Having had my hair cut and coloured hundreds of times and used T&G Banbury for about four years, I have never had an experience quite like it.
To apply the highlights my hair was tugged and pulled for over an hour until my scalp was quite sore. To move my head, rather than ask me, the stylist would just jerk my hair sharply or move it with her hands without a word. This wasn't now and again, it was every five minutes. I had to sit with my head at a variety of uncomfortable angles for long periods of time...no stylist has ever required this! After almost an hour I said I couldn't move my head any further to create a more extreme angle and I was told 'Well, the colour will not be applied all the way to the root then'.
For the cut, the stylist would press her hand into my eye socket without warning or request to close my eyes and stood astride my legs- again no one has ever felt the need to do this ever before while working on my hair. The blow dry was again more scalp pain as my hair was pulled and yanked. After four years I won't be back to the salon. This is supposed to be a pleasant experienc. Not an ordeal, for the stylist to perfect their art in whatever way they please on their models.
