I really like combers and I am pleased to have found a salon that offers great service and a various treatment and styling options. They also stock great products. Megan is lovely. I like that she will give you an honest opinion to make sure you look your best. The first time I saw Megan was for a Cezanne smoothing treatment which was amazing. I went again for another smoothing treatment (post lockdowns….) and Combers have switched treatment to Kerastraight. I have to say I’m a bit disappointed; it is nowhere near as good as the Cezanne. My hair is a bit smoother than before the treatment but I don’t think people would notice, whereas with the Cezanne it was really obviously smoother. My hair also doesn’t feel quite as nice as it did post-Cezanne. If you spend hours on your hair each day, you will probably notice a difference as it won’t take you as long, but it is nowhere near as good as the Cezanne. I’m back next week for a cut and colour and I don’t have any concerns but I’m not sure I would have the Kerastraight again.
Dear Juliet. Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on your recent appointment at Combers. We appreciate both your praise and your concerns and we feed off the former and learn from the latter. We are naturally concerned about your response to the Kerastraight service. As you know and have said magan is a fabulouse technician and specialises in this service. We did not drop Cezzanne on a whim or because it was not a great product. However it is from the USA and they have had issues with the UK distributor or the other way around (its difficult to know) but this was sprung on us very last minute. So rather than trial lots of new companies we opted for the Uk's Number one brand for this service and as its sold as a premium product with a premium price, we trialed this one with some very good results so I am disappointed to hear that this has not been your experience.
