I received a voucher for a cut and blow dry, although the staff were really lovely and friendly, during the cut I mentioned that my normal parting was not right several times. I was told that it didn’t matter too much if the parting wasn’t exactly right and that it could be adjusted once it was dried(it wasn’t). I have washed my hair since getting it cut and put my parting right and have ended up with a really lopsided cut, half my hair is cut as short of my fringe while the other side has no layers at all. Going to have to go somewhere else to sort it out.
Bought a voucher through living social. Was told it would only be accepted printed. Nowhere on the voucher does it state this. They refused to accept it emailed or text etc and suggested I print it off at the library which would have meant I would have missed my appointment in any event! Rude and unhelpful. Would never go back even for few!
I was bought a voucher for my birthday for low or high lights cut blow dry.There was extra costs which I was taken aback at my looked nice when done but was not happy no colour chart was given for low lights it wasn’t to roots and I was going to races.All family friends couldn’t believe I had hair done said it just looked the same or was it a different service if you had voucher would not go again have rang and complained.Going in today for Alison to have a look will see what’s going be done
I am really disappointed with the haircut I had here. I had quite a lot of hair to cut off before highlights and I couldn't work out whether the hairdresser was just randomly chopping off the length or if she was a genius at seeing what the end cut was going to look like. There appeared to be very little styling going on, just cutting but she explained there was no point in highlighting the bits that were going to be cut off so that made sense. The highlights were exactly what I was looking for and my hair was styled quite casual and messy - but when a stylist does that, it looks good - right? Now that just feels it was rushed and careless. There wasn't any further adjustment to the hair cut, no more cutting or shaping so I didn't see what it would look like when I tried to style it myself. It's awful and I'm really disappointed with what it looks like. I won't be going back I'm afraid.
Visited this salon on Thursday using a Groupon voucher to ‘try out’ as ive used a number of salons in Newcastle but not felt comfortable to return
At Hair base , Alison ( the manager ) listened to what i wanted and I ended up with a superb cut and will definitely return
No airs and graces here, no feeling of intimidation at the stylist looking down their noses at you because ure no longer 25 and can afford s £50 haircut like most of the salons in Newcastle
Just fantastic atmosphere - with t was obvious the girls got on with each other , genuine interested in you and wonderful cut that I ve been able to manage myself st home. . No high pressure sales of products you feel obliged to buy - good common sense advice on how to manage your hair
I ll definitely be back.
