I have Attended Scott banks for over 15 years, stayed loyal and paid over the odds year after year with only one previous complaint when I decided to try their cheaper salon Evolution.

Recently paid £170.00 for cut and colour and couldn’t be more disappointed. Not the colour I wanted and came out with an uneven cut with no layers and one side of my head had a few random mucky blonde highlights. Called to advised I was unhappy with the way my hair had been done.. I received a call back from Scott banks himself who just stated they’re not prepared to redo my hair and that they are more about looking after the quality of hair and preventing damage. I understand this to a point and i was fully aware i would not achieve the result i wanted on my first visit but for 170.00 i expected a LOT more. The consultation form you sign in advance is clearly a way for them to do as little as possible to earn more money long term.

i understand the breakdown of costing £50 cut and finish, £80 colour, £20 toner and £20 for Olaplex.

50.00 paid for a cut with no layers (i asked for lots of layers) this in my opinion should of been fixed or refunded. 80.00 for colour - a few highlights barely noticeable is not acceptable for such a well known , highly rated salon. 20.00 for toner and 20.00 for oplex i am not disputing.

I was not even asked to come in to the salon to show what I was unhappy with or for him to see the mess the stylist had made. completely patronised and fobbed off. whether a salon agrees with my complaint or not its good customer service to invite you in to discuss it further. I have since paid elsewhere to correct their mess (7 days later and less than half the price) and my hair is exactly how I wanted it. no thanks to Scott banks. I will not be returning to Scott banks and hope my friends / family who are also long term customers will be doing the same.
